I am co-director (with Patricia Mazón) of UB's Graduate Group for German and Austrian Studies (GGGAAS). The Society for Germanic Linguistics (SGL) is the main North American professional organization for scholars and students interested in the structure, history, and use of the Germanic languages. The SGL has a growing membership worldwide and is responsible for both the Germanic Linguistics Annual Conference and the Journal of Germanic Linguistics.
